The Full Story
Omega first released the Seamaster in 1948, and over the years, the brand would produce many different variations of the model, including chronographs. Omega debuted the reference 145.029 in the mid-1960s, and it has a number of great features.
Most notably, the colors on the dial make this watch undeniably appealing. The tonneau-shaped case and bright orange handset ushers in some much-loved funky design traits that became popular in the 1970s. The dial tone is near slate rather than a bright blue overall calling to memory Naval dress blues and even presenting near purple in some lights. The movement is Omega's caliber 861, which is the same movement fitted in the Speedmaster ref. 145.022, which was released around the same era this Seamaster was produced. Besides the great colors on the dial, the numbers in the sub-dials are in a radial fashion and remind us of the Omega Speedmaster Professional and the modern Speedmaster Professional .
We paired this watch with our Bedford watch strap in light grey to play off of the blue dial and not draw attention away from the great colors on the dial and hands.

The watch is in overall excellent condition. The case is strong with some light scratches. The side of edge of the case at five o'clock shows some pitting on the surface. The caseback engravings and finish are clearly visible. There is some light wear and nicks to the edges of the lugs and case.
The dial is very well-preserved, with vibrant colors and without any very noticeable blemishes. The lume plots on the dial and hands are close to matching in color and have developed patina. The hands have developed some patina although they remain vibrant. There is light wear to the Omega logo and script on the dial.
The case, dial, movement, crown, and crystal are all signed. The crystal has some scratches. The crown is an Omega replacement. This watch was photographed on a 175mm/6.9inch wrist.
